I bought a blackberry from this guy off Craigslist and the phone works great! But the email for the blackberry and yahoo email are still the original owners. I was thinking that if I restore the phone to factory settings I would be able to change everything to what I want it too. Also I have service on the phone right now, but if I restore it will I have to put my service back on the phone or will it still have service? Thanks!

A factory restore of the settings will not get rid of the previous persons emails because as soon as the servie books are resent the emails will come right back. The owner will need to delete his account so that you can setup your emails. Emails are associated with the pin number.

Resetting the phone to "out of the box" condition is simple.

Options / Security Options / General Settings. Menu / Wipe Handheld.

That will insure all the personal data has been removed.

The next step requires the original owner to release the device PIN number. If the original owner can not be contaced, you will not be able to activate it with full service.

Download an OS, install the OS on your PC.

    Try these.
