Is there a way to convert my local contacts to Outlook so that they are available from my computer and will survive a clean update? And is it possible to set up outlook as the default for new contacts, and edit existing contacts? Thanks

I've tried this with outlook and Gmail and I had no success with BlackBerry 10. I use backup pro app and it works well. It does cost money though

I synced my BlackBerry contacts to my desktop Outlook client via the BlackBerry Desktop software. I then exported the contact list from my Desktop to a file.

I then imported that file into my outlook.com email account contacts. My blackberry 2 way syncs my main contact list from that oulook.com account. Now I don't ever have to worry about backing up my contacts ever. I just ad that account to any BlackBerry I have and my contacts, calendar, email and tasks get dropped into the phone. Works great with the remember app too.

I dunno, that worked for me pretty well but there might be a better way.

    Hope that helps.
