Hi,
Yes, I know this should be easy. I did it on my previous bb8830. I swear i think the menus on my replacement 8830 r a lil different. but i easily created a group text for texting my whole family at one time (mom is sick so easy way to get updates). Cant do it now for whatever reason.
Can someone help plz?

Once you have the message ready to go, hit blackberry button then "add recipient"
for a default group u could just click on then type message and it send to all without having to do step above...dunno would be nice tho
I don't want to have to manually add four recipients every time....so first option doesnt sound good. what do you mean about a default group? How do I create a group with mobile nos (email is possible i know)

Go into your address book. Press menu and choose New Group. Set a name for the group. Press menu and select Add Member to add whichever contacts you want in the group. Then when you are finished adding members, press menu again and save. Now when you go to compose a text message, just use the group.

hmmm......tried that but thought it only worked for email addresses. i will give it another shot.

Good info to know. I often send the same message to particular groups of people. This will come in handy.

It works for sms and mms as well. Great way to send a quick message to a group of friends/co-workers/family.
To bad I don't use it. Most of my friends/co-workers have BBs and we use BB Messenger group chat.
