Since everyone seems to be jumping on the blackberry bandwagon how come blackberry doenst have their own voice network so they dont have to rely on carriers like sprint or verizon to carry their phones.

    Any ideas??

RIM is more into building the devices and the device software/acessories. Not providing a physical wireless network. It make sense, why would RIM want to build phone towers when they can just use the existing carriers' towers.

It is like asking why Motorola doesn't build a cellular network since there are so many RAZRS out there. It just isn't what their company does. Does that make sense?

But, with the addition of the first BlackBerry store, (World's First Multi-Carrier BlackBerry Store Opens | CrackBerry.com) who knows what the future might lead to.
