    If I pay off the smartphone I got just a month ago can I cancel the plan they have me on and go to a basic flip phone with no data and a flat $50.00 a month charge like I had before?

    I don't see why not. As long as the phone is paid off you should be able to cancel and get another plan.

    But it would help us answer this if you told us the country you are in, and carrier you are with
