    For those of you who are familiar with the term ELI5 - Explain Like I'm 5 on Reddit, here I am asking, How are Blackberry devices secured? What do they do differently about Hardware and Software that makes them more secure than other devices?

    Thank you. I did see it and read it, but he lost me when he started talking about the layers.

    I was looking to see if there is someone who's security-focused and can break it down for me (and for the folks reading)

    The article pretty much spells it out in layman's terms. Each layer protects the next starting from the boot loader. No rogue app can change the layer above because it does not have permission to do so.
