My 9860 is pretty much mint. Using the PlayBook takes a lot of the wear and tear that would usually occur with the phone. My PlayBook is mint as well but the case has taken a beating.

That little phone has been through a lot...just short of falling in the water with me. I've tried the holsters too. The phones either pop off the clip on holsters and hit the ground or the entire holster falls off. I can't afford for that to happen. In high grass or near water, it would be lost completely so it usually stays in a zipped pocket and along for the ride or thrown on the console.
My 9800 too. In the office I use the Seidio face in clip on holster. That worked for about 2 weeks until the belt clip busted off. Took the clip out of my original blackberry holster and superglued it the Seidio. Been fine. No good for the field though. Put in zipped pocket or front right pants. Still manage to get fish guts, engine oil or mud all over it. Or fear its cold enough to freeze the LCD. One time I was shaking dried up clay out of it for a week.

I'm ordering a new screen tonight, then I need to figure out how to actually fix it myself
Youtube will have good step by step tutorials. Be sure to use the correct size torx drivers and keep track of the screws. I've not changed the screen on a Bold but my 9800 screen is paper thin and is stuck on with a soft sealant. It was very tedious to remove without breaking it more. Be patient, keep things organized and it'll go fine.

I used an otterbox commuter for my curve 8530, and it looks as pristine as the day I took it out of the box. The 9810, on the other hand, was purchased off ebay, used, and had the "usual" scratches and peeling around the screen. I do not have it in a case, given the issues with cases and the torch, and it shows the wear. Still works like a champ.

My 9700 is in rough shape aesthetically. Works perfectly. Bezel is scratched up, dented, and cracked, and it has 3 nasty scratches(gouges) in the screen from the original owners dog. 95% of the damage was there when I got it. I needed a blackberry ASAP and $60 cad for a local 9700 was too good to pass up.

good thing I never posted my trusty and true friend Curve 8520 with its broken volume buttons and damaged memory card slot after taking it for a swim at the beach. Still having had it since 2009, isnt all bad. Even my 8310 is in better shape...though its speakers are a bit dodgy these days

My Bold 9900 is in an almost mint condition. There are some very small micro scratches on the metal bezel you can berely notice. On the battery door there are also a few minor scratches you can see if you look very carefully. Other than that,my Bold is fine. So in terms of device condition, I really don't have to upgrade to BB10.

It does....I...I want one! Or even better, the Z10 in white. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Oh and "my" 9700 is still flawless even after a couple of short drops.

Love the look of that white 9900. As for getting L/N, i'll consider a white L, if it's available on release and ZAGG makes a fullbody skin for it. i would not get a white device unless i could get a film of some sort to prevent yellowing.

Attached a pic of my 9700, there are plenty of "invisible" scratches on the bezel & screen, but this showcases the worst.

My 9700 is in Excellent condition. I do use the holster quite often so that helps to protect it in the event I drop it.

Z10 in white would be AMAZING if there is no black boundary around the screen. The touch sensitive area (where BlackBerry is written) should be white too...

Well my 9860 ain't looking that pretty anymore. I drop my phone a lot. No screen cracks or anything though and she is proving to be very durable. Love my BlackBerry's as they have all been like that for me.

The back door finish has chips all along the sides, the screen is wearing in certain areas as when I clean it, I notice that some spots are worn in, likely due to heavy use of that specific spot and all the buttons on the front look pretty rough.

9850 with some screen scratches were the screen protector didn't cover. I also have peeling buttons but this is happening recently. I guess she's getting upset with all this talk about being replaced...
