    hi,

So I dropped my phone on the floor by accident this morning. It started out by having these weird bluish vertical lines & after I pulled out the battery several times and pressed on the screen it just became white with a black line (see pic)...

I tried doing many batter pulls... updates to the new OS ( my phone is being recognized by Bb desktop manager)... the weird thing is that from what I've read about regular white screen of death is that the phone is responsive! mine doesn't seem to be... when I click on the top (on/off screen)key it does turn my screen off but it also turns the phone completely off so i have to press the end call for it to open again.

    Please help!!!!1

    Looks like a damaged screen.

Try calling it. If it rings, it's most likely the screen.

Usually the phone still rings with a password.

    My diagnosis: its the screen.

What kind of phone is it?

Lost cause? No. If its the screen which it sounds like it is. You can search for a parts 9700 and replace the screen. Its not hard at all.

Could be bro. Take the battery out, & charge it. If the red light comes on you might be able to save it. Also look to see if the battery meter appears on the screen when charging.

The led is an indecter that the device is getting power. Its like a 1st sign to look for. We know yours is getting power because your booting to a white screen. So have you tried calling it yet?

The screen has physical damage. You will need to either replace the screen or replace the device.

Sounds like something major is damaged if it doesn't ring. Something could have busted off the motherboard when it fell.

Apparently, the hit was big enough to cause the damage. Sorry.
