My wife dropped her bold 9650 in a pan of water. I took the phone apart and soaked the parts in 99% isopropyl alcohol and then put it in rice for 3 days. The phone turns on but i have no screen. The phone does work because i called it. I thought the lcd may have shorted out so i got a new lcd. I'm in the same boat as i was a couple days ago. I tried using the desktop manager and doing a wipe and reinstall but i am unsure if i did it correctly. I installed os6 build 542 from rim's website. Am i screwed right up the river or is there maybe another method i can atleast try before throwing in the towel? I am not getting any error messages or hourglass or anything, Just a plain white screen.
