There are times for some reason my whatsapp app saves my pictures received to the device rather than the micro SD card. I go in a switch it but now I have a lot of pics I would like on my micro SD card. Is there any way I can simply save the pics or transfer the pics to the SD card from my phone? Using BlackBerry 10.1.

(With the File Manager) browse to the folder containing the pictures, tap on the three dotted button (lower right) and when the menu pops up, press 'select'. Then touch on the image files which you want to move (highlighting them) and select the 'Move' at the top right. Then navigate to your SD card and select (or create) a folder to move them to and tap on 'move'.

Maybe the folder is read only'?
You could check Properties in the same pop-up menu, but this time highlight the folder itself (or even the individual pictures)

I have deleted my WhatsApp app but prior to that the settings for media save was not working either. There was an update and after that it was saving photos to my device even after I had unchecked the option. It was overriding my settings for some reason. Good luck and hope you figure it out.
