I'm starting to become annoyed by the PITA that is to enter the correct extended characters on the Curve 8900. The idiotic trackball gives you no control whatsoever so sometimes it might take a slight roll upwards while holding down ' e ' to get ' � ' while sometimes you have to roll the ball forever as it keeps skipping characters.

Is there a more reliable way to type extended characters? Any third-party apps maybe?
