I am trying to sync the calender that I have on ACT! with an 8830. I know there is software you can purchase that gives you access to the entiore database, but is there anyway without purchasing software to simply sync calenders and/or contacts?

You need to sync ACT to Outlook, then it will transfer, otherwise for exact sync you need to go with Handheld Contact.
