I am a stay at home mom and I use my BB all the time.

One of my kids has some medical issues and I use my BB to keep track of his medications and the instructions the doctors give me. I also use it to track everyone's appointments, school functions, birthdays, anniversaries. I email his teachers from it when he's missed school. I like to keep them informed of whats going on and when he might be back. Anything I need to remember, I jot down.

Do I really NEED it? No, I could probably use another type of phone or appointment book, but my BB works great and is also fun to use.

Here is my 2 cents...


I am a stay at home mom as well, and although I don't need it for my son's school schedule or sports practices, (he is only 16 months old) I WANTED my BB for all the features. Having a memo pad handy for all my random ideas has been good for me, the calander has made it easy access to his doc appts, that are now every three months, and let's not get or of text and emails I send to friends and family! Being a stay at home mom only allows us to enjoy the perks of life, like u said u don't have to convince ur hubby, so plz enjoy yourself! Don't listen to some of these idiots who take pride in being a$$es!

Here are some things that I do with mine:

1) E-Mail (duh)
2) VZ Navigator (road trips, vacations, etc..)
3) I sold my iPod when I got this thing. Works great with my Bluetooth headphones.
4) Helps me make lists (Grocery, Christmas, chores, etc..)
5) Great Cell Phone (best I've ever owned)
6) Text and MMS are great!
7) Don't have to lug my laptop on family vacations anymore
8) I love my Viigio for keeping up with news, weather, and sport on the go

I own a Curve and my girl friend has a Pearl on my plan and we use the crap out of the BB Messenger. Way more convient than texting. She loves her Pearl. Maybe you should just go and buy the old man a Blackberry of his very own. Before you know it, both of you might end up addicted!
