I am trying to update my curve 8330 from 4.5.0.131 to 4.5.0.169 cuz i think it will fix the issues i am having but when i go to the app loader in the Desktop Manager it say it is going to downgrade so i press browse but i dont know where the software is (i already downloaded and everything

A little more info here because this doesn't make sense.
Are you sure you d/loaded the right OS?
After it was downloaded did you double click the resulting
executable file to install it on your PC?

If you did not install a lower version the worst that should
happen is NOTHING would happen.

Do me a favor. Go to options > about and type verbatim
what is on the 3rd line.

well the current one cuz idk how to install the new OS 4.5.0.169 so should i reboot or reinstall the OS i have the 4.5.0.131

and then that way i get the preloaded images back and i also fix my glitches right??

Here is what I would do

1) Close Desktop Manager (DM)
2) In the Windows Control Panel, select Add and Remove... and
remove BOTH Desktop Manager and any BlackBerry Device
Software.
3) Restart PC
4) Reinstall DM
5) Reinstall the OS .169 that you d/loaded
6) Start DM and go from there.

As to the preloaded images, I have no idea. I always get rid of those.
As to your glitches, again no clue because I can't see them happening.

So you can load the .169. Your original intent, remember.
You have to at some point take the instructions. Playing 20
questions will not fix your issue.

One more thing. Did you download the right .169
There is one for devices with an ESN and one for those with
a MEID.

To check which you have go to options > status Just note which
it is (don't need the numbers) and make sure you chose the right OS

okay so yes i did and i chose the ESN and well still unstalling stuff and well okay so explain how will i upgrade it after i do the restarts and evrything

By removing all the OS currently installed on your machine and
reinstalling only the one you d/loaded DM has only one thing to
look at. In theory (and most of our practices) that will trigger
an OS upgrade.

In your case I again, honestly do not know. I don't know your issues.

Well i can tell u while i wait the uninstalling and well so first the symbol box when im writing takes a while to come out.

and then the preloaded images r gone and also well idk i would love to have the precision themes from Bold and then yea can i put 4.6 on my curve or some way to get the precision theme with the folders and categories and the weather icon

Someone posted the theme you are looking for in one of your
other threads. The preloaded image, again, I always delete so
I can't help you there. And they take up tons of memory.

Now you have to help me. Can you type with a modicum of
sentence structure.
Punctuation would be nice. Actual sentence would be better
and real words would be a blessing. I literally have to read
what you type at least twice. Not meant to be rude but
it is quite annoying.

It is never EVER going to happen.

Open DM, connect phone, click Application Loader in DM and then click start.
If a dialog box comes up telling you to update prior to that cancel it.

Did you actually read the instruction that came with the OS you d/loaded?
