Hey all, last week I noticed my pearl was acting a bit funny. The trackball would just start jumping all over the screen and start opening random apps and then start taking pictures when i turned it on. After about 2 minutes of this is just shuts off until i remove the battery again or if I leave it for a while it will just come back on and do the same thing. I have wiped it clean, cleaned the trackball, and still it goes crazy. I am about to install SMobile Virus Guard but other than that I am at all total loss! Can someone please help me

while the bb is still on try a battery pull sometimes that can help its a start

There are no viruses for the blackberry. There has never been a virus for the BB. It sounds like you have a pure and simple case of liquid damage. Check the water damage indicator on both the battery and under it. If either appears washed out or pink/red in tint (not red Xs or a red line on the battery) then your phone has been exposed to liquid.

What is your Free File Memory? It needs to be 12 000 000 bytes or more, or your device could start acting strange.

Try reloading the OS.. have you recently installed any 3rd party apps... maybe uninstall it, reboot and see how it works.... could just be a bad pearl going bad.......
