    Good day,

    We (many people are with the same issue with various blackberries on various providers) can not use the network service operations which are like "* 101# call" to get the credit or " *100*## #### #### #### # call" to top up

    it keeps dialing the numbers instead of putting the command through yet command with same SIM works in other phones

    * I have tried other SIM cards for other operators on this blackberry and it is the same issue

    * BUT other phones - are able to use the same SIM cards to put the service commands through

    So the problem is with the blackberries settings ...

    For me it HAS worked perfectly for months on different operators - and on this operator - but now all of a sudden it has stopped working!

    I have a 9930/7.1.0.163 (B457) from Verizon that is unlocked and I use it on GSM networks around the world...

    Please if anyone has any ideas on what could be the issue ... And how to fix it please help us ... There are many of us like this

    Right now as a work around I need to take out the SIM and put it into another phone to use one of the service commands - like to top up / add credit or order a service ...

    Any help and ideas are very much appreciated

    I have tried four+ combinations: data on/off & global/gsm with re-booting each time and doing diagnostic test each time to no avail

    I find this happens a lot, people troubleshoot a carrier issue them self, call RIM, post here, but through out very few actually call their carrier. Have you called them yet?

    Yes cause I could not top up - I actually called them - and they said it was device specific and not on their end and for me to seek support from blackberry

    So you do see this quiet often - with no clear resolution?

    I'm short of reinstalling the entire OS with software and etc I have on - a huge task...
