I have a Sprint Pearl 8130.

3 times today I have received the following error;

"Uncaught Exception: java.lang.nullpointer.exception"

All 3 times, phone froze, had to do a battery pull.

Anyone know what this could be or mean or how to prevent this error?

That's a pretty known error, it could be any application. Have you tried a fresh install of your OS?
