Hi, New this this forum
Iam going to purchase a blackberry but having a hard time choosing which one?
I nailed down my choices to
Curve 8520 or
Bold 9700
I like the optical mouse thats why Iam choosing these 2
the only thing that iam debating on is PRICE is it worthe it paying that much more for the bold?

Which ever one you choose, you're 1st going to have to decide whether you need/want 3G. If you do then get the Bold. If not then the 8520. Bold also has the advantage of a faster processor, more internal memory a more solid build and a fancier look. All this costs $ though. Good luck with your decision.

It is always about the money. The question becomes very personal. For me lots of money put a Bold in my hands. I have not one regret.

Welcome to Crackberry! If money is not an object to you then by all means go with the 9700. It has a faster processor, a better camera, and 3G. I'd go with the 9700 to be honest. Good luck in your search for your Blackberry and enjoy your stay at Crackberry.

It really depends on what you will be using it for, if you think you are or will become a "power user" then spend the money on the Bold 9700 or pick up one of the used 9000's from the folks jumping to the 9700. Is this your first smartphone? Do you know what your use will be?

A Pearl is a great starter BB,same as a Curve just smaller and still has the track ball.

if you need/want 3G go for the newer 9700.. otherwise get the 8520

Definitely get the 9700 if you can afford it. Even if its your first bb, give it time and you will learn all its features and love it.

Can't go wrong with either one. Both have the extra app memory (RAM) and wifi. Major difference is the 9700 is 3G, has a better CPU, and a better camera. If you can afford it get the 9700, but if you need to save money I think you would still be happy with the 8520.
