If you have not already done so, close all your apps, hold the power button down and select "restart", then try BBW again.

What OS version are you on?

You could also try this - see bottom of article:

What's your country? I had the same issue on T-Mobile NL some time ago (before 10.2.1.x). I solved it by using Music app - open music app, go to side menu and choose BlackBerry World. This allows you to bypass the initial screen of BlackBerry World and go directly to various categories (you won't be able to access initial screen through, at least I wasn't able)
