Today I was washing my car and accidentally dropped my bb in the bucket of water. I took it out straight away, so only in for a few seconds and immediately took the battery and sim card out to dry. After a while I tryed to turn it on but a red light flashs on and off for a few seconds and then stops and wont turn on!!!!!
    PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of users suggest leaving it off for a day or so and leaving it in rice or silica.

Depending on where you are located there may be cell phone repair stores that can fix it. We've got one in Ontario called cpr and they can quite readily take it apart and replace any parts that are damaged corroded.

Try rice (24 hours) but most likely it is done.

If it ever happens again do the rice thing for several days and the worse thing you can do is put the battery back in to try it in less than 48 hours.

Rice and silica aren't as useful as wet phone recovery packs which are designed for incidents like this. They use some clever technology which sucks the moisture out of electronics. I've used one a UK supplier called Rescuetec with good success -- I think they deliver worldwide or certainly will have stockists in the US.

    Hope this helps, good luck
