Hi guys I just got a BB Curve yesterday and i cant seem to get my BB Messenger to work. Ive looked at the BB 101 help and followed all steps and it will send out requests to others but they dont get the message. I also do not recieve there requests on my phone. Any thoughts?

What Method are you using to add the contacts?

Try this:
Delete existing Pending Requests then from the Messenger window you should click menu scroll to add contact this will take you to your address book then scroll all the way to the top and just highlight USE ONCE and click the menu button and select Request By PIN and enter the contacts PIN.

i believe you need a data plan for the BB messenger, so if you dont have one that could be the problem
