I recently upgraded to the 4.5 OS for my Verizon 8330 and when I open Google Maps it starts to load and then instantly exits the program back to my home screen and the same thing happens with Blackberry Maps....any ideas as to why this would be happening? Thanks!!

Verizon has locked down the phones internal GPS to work only
the VZW Nav app, which you have to pay to use.

AG's statement is correct, but Google Maps should still run on your Verizon phone. It just can't use the internal GPS. I run it on mine.

If you just upgraded the OS, you need to refresh your HRT to enable the browser. Options / Advanced Options / Host Routing Table / Register Now.

If that doesn't fix it, you might want to download Google Maps again. I don't know any reason why 4.5 would disable it, but a fresh download won't hurt.
