I have the 8830 WE and I love it. However, today I was trying to update to the new OS and my blackberry flipped. It's been stuck on a black and white screen that says

"Blackberry Platform 3.0.0.84
Saved Messages"

When I press on the trackball the message I get is

"Error Starting
net_rim_bb_messaging_app:module ner_rim_tid not found

my BB has been useless, it can't do anything other than being frozen on this screen... Help me please!!!

Did you try removing apps to save memory. It sounds like you
are missing a module.

Reinstall the OS on you computer and then try reinstalling it
to your BB

Thank you all for your help. I tried all of the suggestions (which I really appreciated) But my BB couldn't be saved. Verizon couldn't figure it out and neither could the BB help line. So my new phone should be here tomorrow. I'm not sure what to do with myself until then.

Too late now but sounds like you may have nuked your berry. There is a thread on here on how to recover a dead berry.
