so i was doing an update today and my screen jus went blank and was still in the proccess of updating when i took it off! now just the light is flashing red and i cant turn it on or anything ive taken the batter out and nothing! any suggestions.

Blank as in just a white screen? If you unplugged the device anytime during an OS upgrade (such as just a blank white screen), then you corrupted the OS.

thanks.. but no white screen, just completly black!! the only thing thats going on with the blackberry is the light blinking red! ill take a look at what you sent me! do you think i will be able to fix it??

If you follow the instructions correctly, you should be fine. The one thing about a BB is that they are hard to make into a paper weight. Even if an OS upgrade gets jacked up, it can be recovered.

BTW, you might want to edit your profile to correct the device model/carrier. Tmobile doesn't have the 8830.

click on the my account tab at the top right of the page and you can edit your profile from there

oh- and never intterupt an OS upgrade! It will look dead for a while, but it's just doing it's thing. Wait till it's done and then unplug it!
