I recently purchased a brand new curve off someone and it came with 2 batteries. I was wondering what the best way to cycle them so that they both lose their charge accordingly. Should I use one every other week and leave the other one sitting around for the time being or should I switch them up after one gets low? Also, I hear that leaving a battery which is low on a charge off for a while will also cause it to lose its charge much faster. Please, someone enlighten me on how batteries work.

I've never heard of it losing a charge FASTER if it's left off the charging station. Switching them out is ultimately up to you though. I mean, you can do it like this if you really wanted...

Every night I do a battery pull to reset the phone and get the memory that's occupied to be freed up. After deleting text messages all day, emails from 4 different accounts, etc, I usually end up with only like 12mb free. So a battery pull before bed, then plug it up to charge and I'm good to go in the morning with like 18+mb.

If you do it on a daily basis, you can think of it as your daily battery pull to free up memory!
