Just the past couple days I've been having a terrible time getting data through BIS. Dictionary.com and google maps have been almost unusable. Then today I got a 500 server error while trying to get a RIM-hosted app.

YES! I keep getting this message: "A communication failure has occured. The server may be busy, please try again later. If the problem persists contact your service provider." In my case, Verizon. I assume there is some maintenance being done.

I have no problem connecting to crackberry but right now no love with weatherbug app or the bb app world.

I hope its verizon and not my fone :/

I had issues with my data connection a couple days ago. I rebooted my flip and it was fine after that. So, who knows.

lots of slowness tonight and lack of connectivity. VZ Storm 2 - even going WiFi doesn't seem to solve the issue I've been seeing with facebook access. Same thing with UberTwitter - just tries and tries to do 'retrieving' but no luck.

Strange. I would usually think this would be a VZ issue but even connecting via WiFi doesn't seem to solve it.

VZW confirmed to me a few minutes ago that they're having a browser-specific outage. ETR: 2-3 hours. There's a thread tracking this that you should be able to find on page 1 of the forums: http://forums.crackberry.com/f145/th...outage-364548/

Prior to this partial outage I hadn't noticed any data issues at all.

so they say "we're working on it" (typical BS answer)

In Ohio problems all evening starting about 6:00pm. It's back on. For the past 45 minutes I haven't had any issues.
