as for devices I still have my trusty 7290 but I've been having a 9900 since launch.

like other winners, I'm being asked to provide my ss# in the affidavit to claim
my prize or they will chose a different winner. I feel uncomfortable doing that,

is it safe to provide my ss#?

Yes, the SS# is mandatory for us. It's like winning the lottery..everything has to be declared to Uncle Sam.

It would depend on what kind of form that BB will send you with your new phone... Like when you win a car, lottery, gambling winings etc. you have to declare them on your IRS form, because you received that form for the winnings,... not sure what the minimal limit is...
and most likely would be absorbed within your total income... I think..

Best to read up on the Federal Taxes stuff, or ask a friend that is a tax lawyer.
