But we didn't buy Android devices, and BlackBerry is very good at securing the ROM on their devices and they have no reason to unlock it and every reason to keep it locked. Because many owners (at least originally) are corporate and even governments who would not appreciate BlackBerry making devices unsecured.
You may just want to make a custom shortcut that enters your reply for any thread like this. BlackBerry has built its reputation on security, and with the bulk of its efforts going back towards its enterprise roots, why would it take any steps to willingly reduce the security of one of its products that are used in a lot of regulated industries?
