Remember BlackBerry IDs are stored in a database within BlackBerry and contain device identifiers currently associated with the BlackBerry ID. It would be easy to run an SQL query against the appropriate database table to determine the actual number of activated BlackBerry Z10s. Also, I'm curious because yesterday I was the only person who had bought th phone at my local store around 130 pm. When my friend went to the hers today they were sold out and had to have one transferred from another location for her. She will have to tomorrow.

I'm the lead singer and piano player. I usually want to throw my mic at my guitarist's head. LOL

But in all serious, I've been screaming for us to all have Berry's so we can all stay on the same page with our record label and show schedules and basic communication. We have to go through Facebook right now and it's so lame. After messing with this Z10 more, I see the newer business features compared to older Legacy models. I am seeing nothing but potential here.

US sales won't be discussed during the earnings call because they literally just started. An earnings report requires a lot of work because not only does the CFO have to sign off on the numbers, an auditing firm (PWC, Deloitte, KPMG, etc.) also has to review them independently and make sure they're verifiable. And that's not a straightforward process either, as executives will be constantly talking to their accounting department to figure out how to massage the numbers so they look at good as possible, but are also legally within accounting principles.

I would honestly be surprised if the February numbers for UK, Canada, Asia etc. are announced. BB aren't obligated to reveal them and they may not want to because it's less than one month of sales (assuming the numbers are current as of Feb 28 2013). Heins will probably repeat earlier statements like "best launch we've ever had" and "2/3rds of Z10s in the UK sold to previously non-BB customers". \

During the earnings call, the CEO has one job and that is to present the numbers in a way that doesn't cause too much damage to the stock. This isn't specific to BBRY, it applies to every publicly traded company.

They have historically reported sell through when prompted. It is a standard question from analysts. The question is if they will break out Z10 sell through or if they will only say the total number of blackberrys sold.

You contact a wireless carrier and ask to speak with a small business specialist whom will set-up your account and provide you with the smartphones. Presumably, your band is registered as a commercial enterprise.
