    Received a short msg with "hi".....and what looks like a pin but could not get any info on what kind of
    msg it was. Looks like it might be a bbm from a stranger??
    Been out of the loop for awhile...

    any thoughts??? I replied back with ??? it was def not an email

    sorry not poss to do screenshot at this second.

    I'm aware of bbm and what my pin is.....I have never gotten a strange msg that just says hi. the phone
    is asking me to invite to bbm so assume its a bbm. Just weird when people don't say anything but "hi"

    i tend to mess with some of my BBM buddies with pin to pin messages as they dont know about that feature.
    check the pin with your BBM contacts to see if there is a match.

    When you were setting up, did you have an option to "share" on BBM. If so, what did you do. Perhaps you just re-connected with an old friend. Or old flame. Is that a problem?

    its definitely pin to pin.
    All my pin messages appear as red by default.

    try going through your BBM contacts to see if the PIN matches with one of them.
