That was a BlackBerry get together. That's like going to a microsoft party and people saying they love windows.
Their jobs are to keep relations with carriers. I'm sure most of them want bb10 to succeed but they want to see how it does before they dump cash into it for marketing. Its a catch 22. They want to see it well received but they don't want to invest in it.

Although it makes sense to see how well an outside market is doing before jumping into the game, I don't get why a carrier would spend the time and money to get the phone on their network in the first place to just sit on their initial order to see how Europe is doing?
If it takes a year from a carrier's product planning to launch, why get on board for the first launch waves if you don't have faith in BB10 and would rather wait and see?
