Hello everyone!
I just purchased curve 8900 for at&t. I just have the pay as you go media package for now. So i wanted to test my wifi connection and got it connected to my router but the wifi indicator is still grey is it because i don't have a media package please help? thanks
If so go to manage connections then go to wifi options and then hit menu and go to wifi tools and select wifi diagnostics. Is association and authentication checked? And what is the status on this screen say also?
If possible screen capture this info and either post it here or email it to me @ [email protected]
I'm thinking you may not be connected to your network properly

I don't see any UMA profiles in that list. You also need data services turned on in mobile network options.

Don't necessarily need uma to be in wifi. Uma is basically just for when you are entering and leaving a wifi zone so you can stay in call while moving between the two. If someone with more knowledge on the subject would like to comment on that if I am right or not, would appreciate it. But I believe that is the jist of it. It means you are truly in wifi. Although you can be in EDGE and still be connected to your network through wifi.
