Hah, actually using the Hub on the phone? Way too mainstream. Blend through a remote desktop connection is how legends communicate.

Maybe you could try to also use BlackBerry Bridge and a Playbook, to remotely control the phone, for controlling the remote desktop that is using BlackBerry Blend back to the phone.

Because Blend doesn't run well on Windows 10, I have a VM running Windows 7 to use Blend. Then, I installed the Remote Desktop for BlackBerry app from BB World. (It's native and Built for BlackBerry Certified). Then, I connected to my PC using RDP and was off to the races with Blend on my Classic.

.......for you but it works great for me on Win 10.

Nice that you found a way for yourself, though.

I used to run it directly on Windows 10, but it kept opening unstable background processes and giving me random errors. Keeping it in a VM lets me have all the background stuff off when I don't need it, and I haven't had any issues with it on Windows 7 so far. Shared folders makes transferring files seamless. A nice tip for people who are having issues.

Might look at Game Booster... it can disable a bunch of Windows stuff that you don't need. But you'll have to put in an exception for RDP and file sharing..

I've tried Remote Desktop a number of times.... 9650, PlayBook, Z10 and even my newer Android's. The delay was always too frustrating to make it very usable for me. That and it tended to drop out at the most convenient times.... Wi-Fi on the same network, pretty good. But over a mobile network, it was just frustrating.

5G biggest advantage is it will reducing latency between devices... that might make a Remote Desktop connection more usable.
