ok...i know verizon blocks out 3rd party GPS, i know thats been discussed azillion times and its a flat out no. but what about installing a general firmware, non verizon (i.e. delete vender.xml or whatever it is) and trying it...would it work or is there something actually on verizons system sniffing through the phone and shutting down the GPS? figured id ask and see if anyone has attempted this
Regardless of which operators OS you install there is low level firmware (best way I can thing to word it) that cannot be changed. As well you'll still get Verizons service books once you connect to the network.
