    Hi,

    My current GPS settings are:

    GPS Data Source: Device GPS

There's a drop down arrow, but I can't make it open so apparently that's my only available option.

    -------

    GPS Services: E911 Only
    Location Aiding : Enabled

I'm going to assume here if my plan doesn't include the VZ Navigator that this is set this way so that 911 works but no other GPS services are available to me and that if I change this setting to Location, that I'll be enabling something that's going to add cost to my monthly bill.

I don't need or want VZ Nav because I have a Garmin GPS, but it would be nice to be able to at least test out and maybe use some of the apps that require GSP services like Viigo etc. However, I cannot afford to add any additional cost to my plan so I may be outa luck here and Verizon isn't open at this hour so that I can ask them directly.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Setting your services to location ON does NOT have anything to do with your bill.. your gps works on the same signal as a garmin, tom tom, or any other gps device. (i.e., you don't have to pay for a service)

    SO, switch 'er on!
