    Did you Start GPS Navigation?

BBMaps > BB Button > Start GPS Navigation
Or click the little picture of a satellite

Do you have data plan? Or WiFi access?

BBMaps requires data to download the map to correspond to your location. If you get a dot, GPS is fine.

Google Maps has same limitation or needing data connection to display map.

Unlike stand alone GPS devices, which have large areas installed.

There are some apps in the GPS forum that you can install that contain the maps and don't connect to the internet to download the information.
