Anybody using a GPS app that does not require internet connection?
The last smartphone I had was a treo750 with iguidance for windows smartphone, all the maps are preloaded on the sd card and it worked perfectly for me. Would the blackberry map work the same way or still needs internet connection?
I love google map but It's just a hassle that the map loading lags sometimes and I need the voice run by turn feature.
    Thanks in advance

I pretty sure you need a data plan to run gps but your in luck because TomTom Garmin and magellin don't need data plans to run lol

BBMaps requires a data plan to download the maps in real time as needed. The GPS itself will work without a data plan. If you need preloaded maps, you might want to consider TrekBuddy and Mobile GMaps. These are the only two mapping apps that I know of for the BlackBerry that don't use real-time data. I haven't used either.
