First of all, your 8310 does have GPS and AT&T does not charge you to use it.
Make sure the GPS is activated on your phone. Go to, Options/Advanced Options/GPS and under GPS Data Source it should say, "Device GPS".
Under GPS Services it should say, "Location On". If it's working, you should see your latitude/longitude on this screen. Make sure you do this outside for the fastest/best response.

Now go to Google and find Google Maps Mobile for Blackberry. You can do this using your blackberry by going: m.google.com/maps
    and following those directions.

That's all there is to it. Good Luck!

you need a data plan to get any worthwhile GPS mapping. There are a few free GPS programs that can be downloaded but not really worth the trouble.
