    Just got off the phone with Telus tech support... They say RIM has disabled *all* GPS functionality from *all* devices with *all* carriers.

    I had trouble believing this... Although GPS doesn't work on my 8130 or my wife's.

    Can anyone confirm or deny whether GPS functionality is working or not?

    I just checked and the internal GPS is still working normally with BBMaps with my Verizon 8830. I think your Telus CSR is mistaken.
