    This is a newbie question.

Do any of the GPS software apps allow you to exclude a certain road(s) from the route calculated? For example a U.S. Highway. I ask because I commute up & down US 23. A couple of times in the past at night I've been forced off the highway by police because of a big accident, and had to backtrack to a cross state US highway to reach I-75 & then reach home in Toledo that way. And with increased construction on the highways of late, that may not be an option now. Without something like turn-by-turn voice directions from a GPS device, I could NEVER find my way home using secondary roads at night or during daylight. So can one of these devices be programmed to use only secondary roads & not highways?

Thanks for your patience with a newbie & your kind help.

Nav4all is one that will do that for you. Plus if you get off track, it recalulates your rout. I found this out by accendent yesterday. Kind knew my way back but I thought follow the direction it gave. It took me through town. Found put I had it set to shortest.
