I don't know wat the deal is but the gps on my storm sucks. Whenever I use bb maps, my gps position can't be found. I use any app with gps and it takes forever to find me, if it does work. I also tried other gps apps but they can't find my location..Even when I use google maps, which uses cellular triangulation to find the location, it doesn't work. I have my gps turned on with location aid on. When I use these apps I'm out in the clear and still can't get a gps fix... Is there anything I can do to improve my gps???

Where are you when trying to use your GPS? I have to be outside so the satellites can find me.

I have a weird glitch where I have to find my location on BBMaps first, then my Google Maps will find me. It won't work otherwise.

I've never even tried using BB Maps...what is betterr BB maps or VZ nav

What version of Google Maps are you using? 3.2.0 works GREAT and actually uses the GPS in the Storm finally.

VZ Nav seems to be working fine for me too.

As for BB Maps, I don't even have it installed because it sucks bad...never been able to get it to work right.

Google Maps 3.2.0 if you just want quick mapping, sat view, layers, etc.

VZ Nav for turn by turn directions. VZ Nav is slow and clunky if you're just trying to quickly find your position or something.

That's how I use them. And BB Maps for nothing...lol!

It finds my position on Google Maps really fast, as in under 8 seconds and it is usually only about 5 seconds behind me when driving.

Just take your phone in for a replacement, if you're still under warranty. My GPS finds my location in NO TIME flat. You shouldn't have problems like that.

I don't have a storm but the GPS on my 9700 is great, also, I never us BB maps, just google maps

Google maps is so good. BB maps sometimes gives me alternate and out of the way directions so for the most part I stuck will google
