    does the 9700 have gps? i dont see it on the specs or any setting on my phone. i've seen people on forums discussing it though.

    Yes, the 9700 has GPS. Go to Options> Advanced Options> GPS> GPS Services and toggle setting to Location ON. Now go to BB Maps, open it, hit BB Menu button and select Start GPS Navigation.

    NOTE: Start GPS Navigation is ONLY available in this menu IF your GPS Location is ON!

    I'm deeply offended by almost everything.

    GPS chips must be improving, I'm amazed how well it works in my 9700, and I infinitely prefer Google to BB maps. You American chappies get Google turn-by-turn free, is that right? Fantastic.

    Nah, it's only available as a beta for Android phones at the mo... even for us English chappies

    EDIT: you were correct, it's not available for us Brits
