The experience when using Google search on the BB10 browser is horrible and is nowhere near iOS or Android.
This is for me one of the biggest shortcomings of my Q10 and I was wondering what is causing this problems. Searching images is crappy and searching by specific time is not possible (just to name two shortcomings).
Is anybody else upset with this problem or is it only me?

So for example searching by time is possible with your device?
You can set for example last year for the results?

I don't know what you mean by that..I can toggle either web or images just like I can on my PC.. I'm not familiar with a time function or what it would do.

It's a section called search tools in which you can select for example only results from the past week. Also image search is much better on iPhone or Android. You should try it to see what I'm talking about.

Beat me too it. Google is detecting that it is a Blackberry and limits the options for the mobile version, replacing it with classic removes Googles Blackberry BB10 filters.

    Blame Google and not Blackberry

I switched from iOS to BB10.

When searching an image using Google Image, after selecting a picture, the image is clear.

On BB10, after you click on the image, it's blurry. You have to select "Full-Size Image" and then the picture becomes much clearer.

Also, Google searching is much more convenient on iPhones compared to BB10.

Here's a screen shot of searching "Miami Heat Schedule" on iOS
    Google search on BB10 browser-miami.png

Here is a screen shot of the same search in BB10

    Google search on BB10 browser-img_20140119_154655.png

So it's not that big of deal really. I can easily just click on one of the links to see what I want but on iOS, it is conveniently displayed right when I search it

Talk to Google, they are limiting the website. BB10 browser is just displaying the website. Google is generating the website.

A browser does nothing by display the data as provided by the website. Google has taken the choice to limit what information is displayed when it detects a BB10 phone. Blackberry has no control over what Google limits to BB10 users.

How will 10.2.1 change things? The website looks different because Google optimised it for those devices. The problem is not the phone, it's Google not giving a crap about BlackBerry users.

We need a "user-agent changer" option in the native BB10 browser.

Evolution browser has this option, you can simply tell your browser to identify as, e.g. Android, iPhone, Internet Explorer or even Chrome (Desktop), which would probably make for the best experience.

I missed that option in the BB browser right from the start on my Q, that was 10.1. Hope they include it, or even enable or create add-ons like Firefox.

My name is Prem, I'm using BBM ... from my QuZe10 ...whatarhyme...

When using the evolution browser it gives you the cards, this is just a case of Google not optimizing there search results for BlackBerry 10 browser. I have it set to iphone.

That's a solution but the Evolution browser is very slow on initial boot up and I don't want to keep it open all the time. We need a solution for the BlackBerry browser.

Not answering the OP concern but wanted to mention that researching two browsers I noticed that my z10 shows less ads compared to various android devices. My preference is to have less ads and more links.

Since this thread is about the BB10 browser. Can someone any one answer this question.

I find the default font on the browser too small ( Chrome on Android's much larger) but I understand that you can change the font size in the settings. Does a one time change to the browser settings cure the small font issue ? ( unlike the iphone ).
