I'm going to Poland tonight and was wondering if Google Maps will work w/ GPS over there or do I need to download a different app. I was in Finland in December and it didn't work.

Did you have a Global Data plan activated on your Tour? Google Maps worked for me in Grand Caymen and Cozumel on my VZW 9630.

What happened when you launched Google Maps in Finland?

yes global data will be activated in and it was activated in Finland. No GPS signal was found. I was able to use Google Maps though just no GPS.

You're right. i only tried to open the maps, i did not try GPS. Here's a thread i found:

I used google maps w/GPS in Italy, France and Spain on my Tour with no difficulty and with great accuracy in November.

I'm england right now and used Google Maps this morning for the first time and it seemed to work just fine.
