I am going to be traveling over seas and would like to add on one of ATTs data add on packaged while traveling.

How do I know how much data I will have left when I travel? Are there any good programs that monitor your data?

It seems really hard to me to figure out how much I will need.

Anyone have any recommendations for programs that monitor data or experiences they have had?

Depends how much you will use it. If you use same as at home - you will need the same amount. I use more when I travel because I use Navigation and need to look for places which I know well at home and use it more often when I am bored at the airports.. etc.

I would mainly use it for emails, BBM to co-workers in the states & also the occasional news updates.

I just dont see how to figure out how much to get.

Is there a program that can monitor for me?

How much data would say a 50 line email with no attachments take up?

If you sign onto OLAM on AT&T it will show you a graph of how much data you have used monthly. That should give you a pretty good idea.
