They aren't even going to sell phones in Indonesia - a licencee is paying a fee (likely very small) that they can make and sell them and make a profit.

Similar to how Kodak is slapped on any old junk.

Yep. Or like the big radio names, like Emerson or RCA, that still exist only in licensing purgatory.

Yes - except Microsoft gives away (I think) Windows Mobile for free now to OEMs?

(but get them to sign IP sharing agreements).
