Samsung manages to make a phone for every taste and budget. I am not suggesting that BlackBerry goes that far but now they have Foxconn in their corner, I do believe that an expanded line up is possible. We argue amongst ourselves because we each have an idea of what we want and think that if they build model A that they can not build model B. I say give us what we want.

    - A cheaper BBOS phone for BIS markets - maybe even build a new all touch phone
    - An upgraded 9900 for legacy owners
    - A Note 3 clone
    - A Q30 based on the Z30 screen size
    - A Q20 based on the Z10 screen size
    - A Q10 with a larger square screen or a Q10 with the missing trackpad etc
    - An upgraded Z10 with better battery and camera etc.
    - A slider based on the upgraded Z10 and Z30
    - An upgraded Z30
    - Z3 and Z5
    - Cheaper Q5 replacing the Q5
    - A BB10 Tablet
    - Android apps available in BlackBerry World

Well, the most basic economy of scale argument would suggest that the company with the smallest market share can't have the widest selection of products.
First of all, if Foxconn is taking the risk for unsold inventory then they probably have a big say in what the product lineup consists of.
Second, smartphones are sold in just about every retail outlet in all places so you have a ton of phones that will be sitting in display cases unused or being used up as demo models - and please don't suggest direct-order models because those never work.
Third, carriers aren't going to support all those phones. Even the Z30, the obvious flagship phone has a hard time in the US market among carriers so why would they want the others?
Finally, different form factors make more work for developers. It would be almost impossible for even a dedicated Blackberry developer to make native apps work right on all those devices. You simply have to test on the actual hardware to really make things work right.

    All good points .

Then they should up spec the Z devices.
    Make a cheaper Q5.
Make a cheap but good BBOS phone for BIS markets.
    Make a Q30.
    Expand their Foxconn line up.
    Android apps available in BBW.

Make a porsche design P9981 clone phone with the aluminium keyboard for half the price or less, I don't care if BBOS or BB10.
