Good afternoon! How do I delete a "ghost" icon from my BB screen?

Example: I downloaded Typing Tutor and then deleted it. However, the TT icon still remains (but is only a link to reinstall). The same can be said for the Facebook and MySpace icons. I don't want to just hide them, I want to delete them.

    I hope that made sense.

    TIA.

Those icons are "pushed" from your carrier via service books.
They will always come back. Create a folder called Trash or
something, move the icons to it and hide the folder. Out of sight
    out of mind.

In the service book, you can delete it by there. It worked for me to delete the Google Talk and Yahoo messenger download link...

TT icon is not pushed by your carrier. So it will not come back after deleting it.

I was just using TT as an example - a bad one I guess.

The icons I really want to delete are: Handango InHand, MySpace, FaceBook, Trooper Typing.

Thanks! I will try the service book. It's OK to just delete stuff out of the Service Book?

As AG pointed out in post #2, they will always come back even if you delete them from your service books. On a battery pull, resending service books, or registering the host routing table (not too sure on the last one).

Well I'll be darned. I deleted them all from the service book, did a quickpull and they all came back. I will take your advice AG and create a trash folder. Thanks!

The best thing to do is to create a trash folder and hide it.
