    I'm currently with Fido. I have a BlackBerry Bold 9700 with 500MB/month of data, and live in Vancouver, Canada.

    I am currently in the USA on business. I have turned off the mobile network setting (no voice or SMS) on my Bold, and am strictly using Wi-Fi (wi-fi icon is white). I have access to all BlackBerry services (IM, email, FB etc.)

    My question is - will I be charged roaming data charges?

    no, you wont. how did you get blackberry services to work on wifi?
