I just got the Freedom 2000. I charged it completely and paired it to my Curve without issue. The problem I am having now is that none of my GPS programs (BBMaps, Googlemaps, Geocache Navigator) are working. They recognize that there is gps now, whereas before they wouldn't, but continually search for satellites. The Freedom is giving a steady orange light which as I understand it indicates that it has satellite lock

Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? DId I get a bum puck?

A steady orange light means it is looking for satellites. A blinking orange light means satellites are locked in. It should also have as blinking blue light if there is a bluetooth connection.

Are you inside a building? It will work in a standard wooden house, but metal structures sometimes gives it trouble.

Try it outside. If the steady orange light never switches to blinking, there may be a problem with the puck. It normally does not take more than 30 seconds to a minute.

That did it! I was inside when I was trying it. The strange thing is, right after it finished charging I brought it outside and had the blinking orange light and my whole drive to work no satellites were ever found. Tried it again outside during lunch and it is working flawlessly now.

When you had the blinking orange light but no satellites, was your blue led blinking on your phone and the keychain indicating a bluetooth connection? You may have lost your bluetooth connection at that time.

What are you looking at to tell you no satellites are found?
